BBQ Meal
In the spirit of Memorial Day, there will be a post-race BBQ with food, beer, pizza, and live music. All proceeds from meal ticket sales will go to the Gray New Gloucester High School Athletic Booster Club. The BBQ meal will consist of grilled hamburgers, veggie burgers, sausages, hot dogs, various cold salads, various desserts, soft drinks, water, and of course cold beer. A separate grill and serving utensils will be used for vegetarian foods.

 Potluck Food Donations Requested
It is a tradition of this event that all race participants, especially Mainers, are asked to bring a food donation. Why is that, especially when you’re already paying for a BBQ meal? The end effect is the biggest and most diverse spread of healthy food that you’ve ever seen – and it ultimately benefits the Gray New Gloucester High School Athletic Booster Club. We ask that all runners and volunteers bring a HOMEMADE cold salad (i.e. pasta, potato, bean, leafy green, etc.) or some kind of a dessert (i.e. cookies, brownies, cupcakes, etc.) Please provide a container with a cover, and a label if you want the container returned. No utensils are necessary. You may drop-off your food donation in the food tent on race-day morning. There will be refrigeration on site to keep food donations cold. Matt Myer and the Gumption Junction

Each participant will receive two (2) free cans of beer from Shipyard Brewing Company. While sharing is good, runners may not share their beers with non-registered spectators. We do not want to jeopardize our liquor license with the state of Maine. Runners must be of legal drinking age (21+) and present their race bib at the beer tent in order to be served. Each bib will have two beer tickets attached along the bottom edge. All others must present identification. Friends and family of runners may purchase beer separately for $3.

Picnic tables and bales of hay will be scattered around the Grove where you’ll be able to sit. Please feel free to setup your own canopy, chair or blanket out on the grass.
