TEAM PRIZES

A team prize will be awarded in the 10km race to the first place team. A team consists of at least 4 runners registered under the same team name in the same race. Team names can be fun and creative — they can be something other than a club name. The first place team is defined as the fastest combined time of the top 4 team members.

When you register online you’ll be able to select a name from a list if one of your teammates already registered the team name. If you’re the first person in the team to register then you can be the one to register the team name. Please check the list first. Contact The Race Director if you already registered and want to be added to a team.

COURSE

The race course is a 10 kilometer off-road roller coaster on well-maintained XC trails that twist, turn, and roll their way through forests and past pastoral, working farmland. The trails are level, wide (12′), and non-technical with no roots or rocks, but very hilly. Although there are no major climbs the rolling terrain is unrelenting. The surface of the trails is mainly grass and dirt sprinkled with pine needles, pine cones, twigs, and small stones. Trail running shoes are recommended but not necessary.

AID STATIONS

Runners will pass by 3 aid stations on the course, giving them the opportunity to refuel every 2 to 3 miles. The aid stations will be stocked with cold water and an electrolyte-replacement drink. Please dispose of all cups and wrappers in the garbage barrels supplied at the aid stations. Anyone caught littering by throwing anything in a field or on the trail away from an aid station will be disqualified from the race!

PORTABLE TOILETS

There will be portable toilets on the course near the aid station and at the start/finish line.

SHIRTS

Race shirts are not included in the entry fee and can be purchased separately for $12. This allows us to keep the entry fee low and gives people the freedom to choose. We take a great deal of pride in the quality and design of our shirts. We offer both men’s and women’s sizes. This year are are changing our shirt design and will have one shirt for all races , with the exception of the Kid’s Race.  The Kid’s Race entry DOES include a cotton-blend shirt. Our short sleeve technical race shirts are printed through full dye sublimation rather than screen printing, starting this year.  You must order your shirts by 3/31/18 to be guaranteed a specific size. At registration you will be given the size that you ordered. Substitutes will only be allowed after the race starts if there are extra shirts available. You will forfeit your shirt if you do not claim it by the time the race starts. Shirts will not be mailed after the race. Pictured below are our 2017 Women’s (top) and Men’s (bottom) shirts:

Shirts will be distributed at bib pick up during the following times:
